Hi, I’m Rebekah!

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR therapist, and fellow human being.

I know what it’s like to struggle with your mental health, because I’ve been there.

Before I was a therapist, I was someone trying to survive anxiety, panic, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I know what it feels like to live in survival mode. I also know what it’s like to feel seen and supported by great therapists—and how powerful that can be.

That’s why I do this work.

I’ve experienced firsthand how EMDR can change your relationship with the past. It helped me heal my own trauma, and it’s now the foundation of how I support others.

Today, I work with women-identifying adults navigating trauma, emotional exhaustion, and long-standing patterns. I use EMDR and other trauma-informed methods to help clients move toward freedom, resilience, and self-trust.

I care deeply. My clients aren’t a paycheck to me. This work is personal.

Why “Glowing Embers”?

This name comes from the phoenix: a mythological bird that rises from the ashes.

So many of us have been through fire. Even after we feel burned out, the embers are there. Therapy is tending to what remains, gently and intentionally, until you're ready to rise.

Mission

To guide women-identifying adults through the fire of trauma and into lasting healing using EMDR, in a space that is safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental.

Vision

A world where trauma survivors are not only surviving, but rising stronger, freer, and more grounded than before.

Values

Trauma-informed and affirming care

Radical authenticity

Safety, warmth, and gentleness

Deep, lasting healing over short-term fixes

Humor and humanity in the healing process

Support for those who’ve felt like the “black sheep”

What Therapy With Me Is Like..

This isn’t cold or clinical therapy.

I show up in hoodies, with my dogs nearby, bringing my full, human self into every session. I’m warm, honest, and direct. I’ll sit with you in the hard moments and gently nudge you forward when you're ready. I’ve held emergency sessions at 2am, texted through panic spirals, and rearranged my schedule to show up for people when they needed it most.

If you’re looking for someone real—someone you can actually build a relationship with—you’re in the right place.

Speaking of, here are a few personal things about me:

  • I’m very open about my mental health (bipolar/gad/panic disorder) and feel passionate about helping clients feel safe in their own minds.

  • I share my life with a three dogs, and yes—you’re welcome to send pet photos during the week.

  • I’m a book worm who loves reading fantasy and historical fiction novels.

  • I am thoroughly obsessed with Game of Thrones.

  • I’m super creative and enjoy scrapbook, diamond painting, and other artistic pursuits.

  • I am a caretaker for my mother.

  • I write novels and dream of having a book published one day.

  • I’m a night owl, an introvert, and a firm believer in showing up as my full self (and encouraging you to do the same).
